About Me

I am a first generation college student who majored broadcast news at the University of Colorado Boulder. I am a recent graduate, and will pursue a career in journalism. I have a passion for reporting and interviewing people. Most recently, I was selected as only one of eight student projects for the National Association of Hispanic Journalists. This association (NAHJ) partnered with Hispanicize; an annual event for Latino newsmakers, journalists, and entrepreneurs. The Hispanicize event took place in Miami, Florida, and I was the only student from Colorado to be selected. As one of the  student projects selected across the country, my task was to cover the live events, panel discussions, guest speakers and even award ceremonies by using social media sites. My proudest moment thus far has been to interview Emmy Award winning journalist Maria Elena Salinas.

I was born and raised in Denver, Colorado and have always been interested in covering the underrepresented stories that are often ignored. As a Colorado native, I greatly enjoy the outdoors. Some of my hobbies include cooking, watching travel shows such as Delicious Destinations as well as playing soccer.
